About 6 months ago I listened to Robb Wolf on the Joe Rogan podcast discussing Onnit Labs products. Joe Rogan was asking Rob about what he thought of the ingredients in some of the Onnit labs products. To sum up Robb Wolf said they were all natural so he saw no reason not to try them. Joe Rogan said they are all amazing products and he loves them all.
Then last month, the owner of Onnit Labs was a guest on the wodcast podcast. He explained his products very well and the one I was interested in most was "Shroom TECH Sport". There's lots of explanations of what it does on the internet but basically it gives you 50% more oxygen while working out. To me this sounded too amazing not to try because I'm always gassed during workouts.
It arrived last weekend so I decided to test it.
Test Plan
8 hours sleep the night before
Paleo food the day before
Train fasted
Train at 7am (1 hour after waking)
Leave one day rest between workouts
Train the below workout:
"Small"
Three rounds for time of:
Row 1000 meters
50 Burpees
50 Box jumps, 24" box
Run 800 meters
The reason I chose the above workout is because I know it gasses me out, it's long so any differences would show up in a big way, all the movements require little skill, and my rowing is very consistent.
Control Result
Time: 52 mins 42 seconds
Test Result
( 3 Shroom TECH Sport pills were taken 45mins prior to workout start as per instructions on the bottle )
Time: 51 mins 34 seconds
Conclusion
Does nothing.
I did not feel any different between workout 1 and workout 2. When I do the same workout back to back I always improve my result so a 68 second PR in such a long met-con is normal for me. Had no feelings of being energised and my recovery between rowing, burpee sets, box jump sets, and 800m felt no different.
Irrelevant information: I did the workouts with a friend who got around 45 mins
This was a pity because I really wanted this product to work after reading a lot of bad things about Aubrey Marcus (WarriorPoetUS). There are a lot slandering comments about him on the internet related to phishing scams and people lose respect for him because he has another company that sells vibrators for men.
I also wanted this product to work so I could train harder. I will not be using it again and will make use of Onnit's refund policy. I'll update this blog post with how the refund goes later.

fruit punch is tangy and tastes great. gets you in the back of the jaw like those dinasour eggs.
like dark rage, makes me need a dump.fruit punch is tangy and tastes great. gets you in the back of the jaw like those dinasour eggs.
similar sinking feeling.
can feel blood pumping through brain.
taken 30-40 mins before workout.
body still stiff from back and chest workout 2 days previous.
body feels hotter than usual.
1 hour shoulders and arms workout using 10kg dumbells, followed by situps.
apparently it's the best pre-workout supplement in the industry.
didn't feel that much different than without.
arms got tired just like usual.

Do these things lose their affect after they pass their sell by date? I found a packet of this in the cupboard and drank it before an RPT set of squats this morning. Again, didn't feel much different than without.
Came across an interesting article debunking Nitric Oxide supplements. Apparently Arginine or any crazy form of Arginine does NOT increase nitric oxide in the body. Also they put a lot of stimulants in NO products to make you feel wired. The creatine they use is usually the cheaper and useless "creatinine". The sugar and stimulants in the product give you more energy and focus making the suer think they are getting a good deal. In fact you're better off with a can of red bull and some maltodextrose.
#1 Use creatine monohydrate (CREAPURE is the only brand that does not contain large amounts of creatinine instead of creatine monohydrate).
#2 Take high GI carbs pre workout.
#3 Increase your testosterone levels with a course our "Unleashed" or "LJ100".
#4. Find a supplement containing "Glycine Propion yl-L-Carnitine (GPLC)" that is actually PROVEN to increase Nitric Oxide.

Dymatize Xpand Nitric Oxide Reactor
Tried this before a Bench Press workout this week. Think I'm immune to it, it was gritty, flavour was nice, made me go for a poo, but I didn't get close to my 1RM bench. Pointless supplement.
Why do all these Nitric Oxide ones make me need a poo!!!?

IDS WAXIMAIZE
Taking carbs for insuling spiking to increase the movement of nutrients to the muscle post workout? Restore muscle glycogen faster? What are carb supplements all about?
Blurb from bb.com
Waximaize is a modified starch, a very unique complex carbohydrate capable of changing your physique!* Waximaize is absorbed lightning fast into the bloodstream by 'bypassing' digestion in the stomach.* Once in the bloodstream Waximaize potentially makes you look leaner by pulling subcutaneous water (water from just under the skin!) into the blood, supporting blood volume!* Training with Waximaize brings new meaning to the word 'pump'.* With overloaded glycogen stores and amplified blood volume, Waximaize may overtake you in minutes!*

Waximaize is a corn based modified starch with unique properties in the human body. While most complex carbohydrates from normal food sources remain in the stomach to be digested, broken down into shorter carbohydrate sugar chains before entering the bloodstream, Waximaize with its unusually high engineered molecular weight 'Drops' through the stomach faster!* Because of this, Waximaize remains a complex or long chain carbohydrate as it enters the small intestine for absorption.* In addition to this, Waximaize has a very low Osmolarity which allows it to quickly and effortlessly cross into the bloodstream intact.*
So should I be taking this pre-workout or during or post? The label says all three but then I've seen whey protein labels telling the consumer to drink a scoop with every meal and pre and post workout.
What is the difference between Maximaize and Maltodextrin? The above question could also be what is the difference between Amylopectin and Maltodextrin. Because that's all Waximaize is, the second ingredient after that is "Artificial Flavours".
Here's a great article by Gary F. Zolla about a his experience with trying different carbs around working out. He asked the same question that I have. Why spend money on expensive chemicals when you can put carbs into your body post workout quickly and easily by drinking a load of fruit juice. After reading that I understand that fructose is no good post workout and the body needs somethig that restores glycogen better like dextrose or maltodextrin.
Many lifters who use Waximaize stack it with protein in a post workout shake in order to spike insulin and shove protein into muscles while restoring muscle glycogen. I don't understand all the fuss about restoring muscle or liver glycogen after working out. I just accept it because that's what we are taught to do. Is it so important? WHy not just have a carrot instead of dumping 40g of Amylopectin directly into the bloodstream?
Let's have a quick look at the affects:
Effects
Stage 1. Once in the bloodstream Waximaize draws subcutaneous water (Water trapped just under the skin) into the bloodstream, quickly supporting optimal blood volume.*
So then this is for post/during workouts. If I want blood volume then I'd rather take a supplement designed to do that like Superpump250.
Stage 2. This increased blood volume may cause visible veins to appear in the limbs to carry the increased blood volume to muscles.* This vascularity adds to the appearance of a leaner physique.
So this is a nitric oxide/blood doping supplement? I was under the impression that this product is basically pure glycogen. Does glycogen give you garden hose veins and roadmap vascularity? I don't think so.
Stage 3. This increased blood volume delivers Waximaize to waiting muscles, overloading glycogen stores for a 'full' feeling.*
Yeah okay it gets glycogen to the muscles so it might help growth post workout if stacked with protein.
Should you have a big meal pre-workout? I heard body-builders suck on oranges pre-workout too. What about the benefits of fasted training. By consuming carbs pre and during workouts am I compromising HG production?
I decided against taking this pre or during my workout because I don;t want to change my fasted training style.
I finished training and drank Waximaize followed by Champion Nutrition Whey, followed by 500g of smoked salmon and a boiled pumpkin salad - stuffed!
Waximaize tasted like chalk, can't remember if it was "grapey" or not. It's so far off Paleo I'll not buy it again.
I can't help thinking that food provides a good enough insulin spike to shuttle the whey protein immediately post workout to the muscles. Also regular artificial insulin spiking can't be good for IFers with a goal of keeping insulin levels low. Raise the insulin, use it to move protein into the muscle over a long period, then lower the insulin again during fasting sounds more sensible than spiking insulin to shove fast proteins into the muscle then crash.

Ultimate Nutrition Prostar Whey
Chocolate flavour. Tasted good, a little bit thin. Not nearly as good as Champion Nutrition's taste. Would be an okay substitute though.
Taken after Chins and Dips.

NO Shotgun
It was either the NO Shotgun or my absent mindedness, but after 2 warm-up sets of back-squats I loaded up with bar and squatted what I thought I was max weight and squatted it okay. I looked at the bar and though, "silly me, that's 10kg too little", I put 10kg more on and couldn't get below parallel without failing.
"Why am I weaker than last week" I thought, then I added up the weights again and realised I'd failed on 10kg over this week's target. I had actually attempted 15kg more than last week! Dropped it down 5kg and was able to get 4 reps with a 10kg increase on last week.
If I can up the weight by 2-5kg each week then I leave the gym happy, a 10kg jump is a lot of improvement. I put it down to 3 possible factors:
1) The squat rack in the gym has adjustable metal bars with rubber on top so you can really go to failure without rolling the barbell off your back and crashing it onto the floor. That's something I'm reluctant to do even at crossfit.
2) Absent mindedness made me realise I'm not lifting close enough to max.
3) NO Shotgun.
Cherry tastes almost as good as the NO Synthesize Fruit Punch. And you get 20 odd grams of protein in it.
Straight after drinking gives a feeling of breathlessness.
My legs feel like they've had a hell of a workout 1 day later. More than I've felt after squatting at crossfit.

NO Synthesize
NO Synthesize tastes great.
I drank it after Overhead Press and Bench.
Not sure if it aided my recovery more than the roast lamb I had with it or not. Feeling stiffness in the chest and shoulders one day later.
It whips up into a foam and tastes great though.
Plus you're getting 20g of protein in a scoop

Glico BCAA Power Production
I ran out of Controlled Labs Purple Wraath and have to use some Japanese BCAA brands while I wait for delivery from Bodybuilding.com. Bodybuilding.com has cheaper prices but their delivery takes ages.
I'm still doing Leangains with morning workouts so on lifting days I take a 2litre bottle of water with me to the gym with 30g of BCAA in it. I drink 10g before working out, 10g after and then sip the rest of the bottle during the morning at work. The idea as follows:
- Keep the body in it's fasted state so that it is burning fat for the full 16 hours outside the 8 feeding window (drinking BCAAs amounts to around 25kcal per 10g, thereby not breaking the fast)
- Not eating after working out stimulates the body to manufacture human growth hormone.
- Keeping the body topped up with BCAAs provides fast acting proteins while preventing gluconeogenesis.
- The post work out 30 minute window where the body is crying out for nutrients is important, but it's not as important as the main skeletal muscle synthesis timeframe that begins 3 to 4 hours post workout.
I don't want to change to a PM training schedule so rather than go without BCAAs during the mornings and risk losing the benefits I'm tiding over with Glico's "BCAA Power Production".

| BCAA Stick |
It's better than the Amino value "sticks" though, they only contain 3000mg per"stick" and it comes out in little shards of BCAA that never dissolve. In that case you end up pouring it onto your tongue and swallowing. Not an option for at the desk and you can't sip that.
All in all it's a good stop-gap, but I'm looking forward to my next delivery of Controlled Labs Purple Wraath along with a trial container of Scivation Xtend.

ON Platinum Gold Standard 100% Casein
I was looking for something to take at the end of my feeding window on days when my protein intake is less than 4g per kg of bodyweight. Martin Berkhan went through a load of casein proteins and this was one of the three that came out on top so I bought in 2kg of 'blueberry cream' and 2kg 'raspberry smoothie'.
When the tubs arrived I thought they were totally massive and I'd bought too much but I'm totally getting through it. It's especially great for the leangains recommended desserts. 3 scoops mixed with 4.5 scoops of water and some frozen fruit and mashed up makes a great dessert.
And it's a dessert with the following nutritional breakdown:
That's a quarter of my protein RDA in one little bed time dessert. The reason behind eating casein at the end of the feeding window is that its slow release will aid muscle building for 7 hours. Accompanied with complex carbs this time window is doubled.
In contrast, if I was to neck whey protein before bed then it would go straight to work and my muscles would have no building blocks for the entirety of the impending 16 hours without food.
I've all but run out of Champion Nutrition Ultramet, so for the meantime when I need extra protein it will be at the end of each day in the form of ON 100% Casein. As always however, its better to eat your food than drink it, and I will endeavour to reach my daily protein quota without supplementing.
I would have experimented with casein proteins available on the japanese market, but every bodybuilding outlet I went to in japan just has a wall of whey protein. sure whey protein is good to feed muscles post workout, but it goes hand in hand with casein. I could not find one casein protein product in any japanese outlet.
From Leangains:
"When the post-workout meal comes around is also when muscle protein synthesis is beginning to take off. Though muscle protein synthesis is acutely stimulated post-workout in response to resistance training and protein intake, studies show some latency in regards to elevation and peak. Protein synthesis starts to climb about 3-4 hours post-workout, reaches a peak at the 24-hour-mark and returns close to baseline values 36 hours post-workout (or 48 hours depending on who you ask; studies on this topic show slightly different results regarding length and peak of elevation). "
In other words its all very well taking advantage of the post workout window where your muscles are screaming out for protein by consuming whey, but the majority of muscle building occurs 4+ hours after. 4+ hours after working out all whey protein has been consumed and the body is running on the slow release of protein from the food eaten. That's why bodybuilders supplement with casein later in the day. I can't believe no japanese athletes or shop keepers are aware of this.
Here's the blurb:
Sometimes slower is better - especially when it comes to the rate of protein digestion. While rapid protein absorption is desirable immediately before or after exercise, delayed release is probably more beneficial throughout the remainder of the day.
Casein proteins are pH sensitive and gel in the acidic environment of the stomach. As a result, it can take more than twice as long for caseins to be broken-down into their amino acid subcomponents than whey and other proteins. Because of their unique time-released qualities, caseins are aptly described as anti-catabolic or muscle-protecting proteins.

BEYOND THE BASICS
- 24 g of Highly Anti-Catabolic MICELLAR CASEIN
- 10 g of BCAAs, Glutamine, and Glutamine Precursors per Scoop
- AMINOGEN Enhanced
Conclusion
Mixes well, tastes great, I don't need to go elsewhere for casein. 10/10.
Once I get through this load I'll get some "banana cream", other flavours are "chocolate cake batter", "chocolate peanut butter", "cookies and cream", and "creamy vanilla".

vitargo
I was looking for a Maltodextrin supplement and this was the closest I could get. I tried loading carbs with it and it made me feel good running the next day.
I mixed at super high concentrations which made it gloopy and sicky, but I just wanted to down it and get the carbs in. 50g of carbs per packet took packets 2 at a time, 4 times over the course of one day, then one more pack in the morning followed by shotz every 30 minutes during a 28km run. Felt fine, the only noticeable affect was that I wasn't as tired as usual.
I'd recommend it but its just a tool to drink more carbs because its impossible to eat 800g of carbs in a day through refined carb foods.
I'd like to try some other brands next time I prepare for an endurance event in order to compare.

Purple Wraath
Purple Wraath: Ergogenic Essential Amino Acid Matrix
Link to Maker's Site
Here's the blurb:
Discover the "Holy Grail" of bodybuilding and athletic performance enhancement: maximizing lean gains and fat loss while enhancing recovery and increasing strength, endurance, and energy. Purple Wraath was created to be the most complete EAA/BCAA product on the market; keeping your body in a constant anabolic state and keeping you training hard with its added super endurance complex.
I've been getting tired of necking 10g of BCAA before fasted workouts on the leangains plan, they come in small 5g packets, it's expensive, and fails to mix in water. Reading through Martin Berkham's recommendations have decided to switch to Purple Wraath. It works out cheaper to buy in a big tub, mixes well in water, and "It contains beta-alanine as well, which gives me a nice little tingle and also seems to aid a bit with intra-set recovery and muscle endurance in the higher rep ranges" . The tin said to try half a scoop first time and see how it goes. I did that today before working out and I felt fine through the whole workout. My 5 rep max squat went up by 2kg and I also marginally improved my 5 rep max push press. Felt wasted as usual during the met-con, but that's what met-cons are for. Lemonade flavour tastes great and mixed in water easily. I could drink that on the cycle to the gym rather than necking it and wincing. Also when I switch to the new leangains PM eating plan next month I'll need an easy BCAA drink for mid-morning.
Will update on Friday when I try a full scoop.

ON Platinum Hydro Whey
I went for "Velocity Vanilla" (also comes in "Cookies and Cream Overdrive", "Turbo Chocolate" and "Supercharged Strawberry") I'm assuming the speed in the names refers to how fast insulin is able to shuttle the protein to the muscles.
Here's the blurb:
Platinum Hydrowhey is the fastest, purest, most advanced whey protein we've ever developed. In a word: excellence. By hydrolyzing the protein in this premium formula we've created our fastest-acting whey protein yet. Hydrolyzing breaks larger proteins down into smaller pieces that are able to get into your system rapidly, enabling your muscles to start rebuilding quickly. For added effectiveness, we've also enhanced this revolutionary formula with digestive enzymes and micronized branched chain amino acids (BCAAs). In addition to being fast, Platinum Hydrowhey is also ultra-pure. That's because it's made entirely with hydrolyzed whey protein isolates. So there's no excess fat, cholesterol, or lactose to slow down your progress.
Conclusion
Mixed perfectly, a hint of grit, tasted a bit milky plasticky, but then I've never like the vanilla flavoured ones.
Taken after 5-5-5 75% of 1RM squats.

2011/05/10 Update
Tried the chocolate one. Have to be careful not to use too much water because it doesn't mix well and leaves you with a shake bottle of bits and weak tasting chocolate water. Champion Nutrition does this so much better.

IDS Oatmeal & Whey Isolate Blend

The blurb
The ultimate in meal replacement convenience is finally here! Oatmeal & Whey from IDS Sports combines a synergistic blend of Isolate Blend Whey Protein with ultra-fine Premium Oatmeal powder to create the ideal meal supplement! IDS Sports Oatmeal & Whey contains 24 grams of premium isolate blend whey protein, with 16 grams of Oatmeal carbohydrates yielding an amazing 8.5 grams of complex carbs, 8 grams of soluble fiber, and less than 3 grams of sugar!
Over the years, in an effort to control sugar and fat intake many athletes have turned to the blender to make quick convenient meals. One of the most common of these food combinations is oatmeal and protein powder for a quick complex carbohydrate high protein meal. Using Oatmeal as a carbohydrate ensures a low sugar complex carbohydrate high in Vitamins and Minerals. While high quality Whey protein is a staple in every athlete's supplement arsenal.
Combining these two super foods in a blender for the ultimate clean meal sounds like a great idea, but drinking your way through the chunky bottom half of that glass of homemade brew can be a challenge. Most of the oatmeal resists breaking up in the blender and settles at the bottom of the glass, only to be chewed and choked down. Great idea, poor delivery. Until Now! Oatmeal & Whey looks and mixes like regular whey protein. It tastes great and quickly mixes in a shaker cup just like standard whey proteins! Oatmeal & Whey from IDS Sports is a quick and easy way for athletes to get the perfect meal!
Opinion
I went for Chocolate Peanut Butter.
Mixes really well, tasted nothing like Chocolate or peanut butter, horrible gritty texture with a nasty after taste. Never again.
taken after 3 sets of man-makers, 2 sets of max-rep pullups and 2 sets of max-rep dips.

Muscletein Ultra-7 Protein
Muscletein Ultra-7 Protein is an advanced extended release, multipurpose protein specially formulated for lean muscle accrual, muscle definition, and weight management. Muscletein Ultra-7 Protein contains seven important protein components to feed your muscles for up to 8 hours with only the finest quality ingredients for maximum absorption and bioavailability. Muscletein Ultra-7 Protein tastes absolutely delicious as a shake, smoothie, addition to oatmeal, or with your favorite juice. Try some delicious Muscletein Ultra-7 Protein today!7 Protein Components keep your muscles nourished with a steady stream of muscle-building blocks and aminos for hours after ingesting:
- Sustained Release Protein Matrix: Whey Isolate Peptide, Caseins and Egg Albumin: These proteins provide the body with essential building blocks to produce the amino acids that are used for shaping muscle, which results in building and retaining muscle tissue. Casein proteins and egg albumin digests slowly, ensuring that your muscles never run out of protein building blocks for optimal muscle growth.
- Glutamine Peptides: Glutamine Peptides serve as efficient sources of glutamine for maintaining whole-body glutamine supplies, and thereby, creating a stable muscle-building balance that ensures better absorption in the body.
- Branched Chain Amino Acids (BCAAs) and Essential and Non-Essential Amino Acids: Help metabolize protein in the muscle, rather than the liver which is important because these proteins are used to build muscle and produce energy.
- Bioactive Protein Utilization Enzymes (Aminogen and Papain): This protein promotes optimum protein digestion, faster muscle recovery and absorption, improving uptake of amino acids and nitrogen retention by the muscle.
- MCT's (Medium Chain Triglycerides) and EFA's (Essential Fatty Acids): MCT's are a fast-burning energy source, much like a carb. They promote the oxidation of fat over carbohydrate, and help regulate appetite while also burning fat. EFAs (Essential Fatty Acids) are not produced by the body and must be consumed in order to prevent deficiency and aid the production of energy.
- Fiber Matrix: Fiber supports gastrointestinal health, increasing the surface area that the body can absorb nutrients across, which increases nutrient uptake and utilization.

Jesus this stuff is soooo sweeeet! I thought my teeth were going to fall out after drinking this sweet vanilla mix. I'm not complaining though, the Champion Nutrition is sweet too, and I drink that all the time. I've never seen a protein mix in water so well, hardly froths up or anything.
taken straight after a hard back/biceps/abs workout with wobbly fingers after.

celcius

boosts your metabolism, gives you more energy for 3 hours.
taken before morning workout, i'm wary of trying these things in the evening just in case i'm buzzing my tits off at midnight.
sounds a bit like a caffeine loaded energy drink. 10 mins exercise and a good night's sleep would be an equivalent.
tasted good though.

animal cuts

I'm not so sure about taking a supplement that removes water from the body. Creatine needs water in the muscles for twitching power. I think this supplement is marketed towards bodybuilders who are 3 weeks away from competition. It's not something I should supplement my diet with on a regular basis to be fit and healthy.
I've read reviews of 'Human Torch' type energy for 4 hours, sleepless nights, constipation, and radical weight loss. A few other reviews said it did nothing. You have to take 9 pills at a time with this supplement.
Lets give it a go!
You want cuts? You want that grainy, etched look? Then you need something to take care of both the fat and the water. When you need to look dry and hard, there´s only one Animal Cuts.
Animal Cuts. Since nearly a decade ago when Schak wiped his mighty brow in the iconic "Cardio Sucks" ad, the most hard of the hardcore have depended on Animal Cuts when being lean alone simply wouldn´t suffice. The earliest of editions to the Animal line, Cuts did for your typical fat burners what Pak once did for multivitamins - rendered all others obsolete.
Designed specifically with the needs of advanced bodybuilders in mind, Cuts was formulated to produce dramatic changes in an athlete´s physique in a brief period of time. To get ripped, shredded, peeled... That was what the Cuts user demanded and that is precisely what they got. That was then and this is now, and though so much has changed, some things always remain the same.
The Animal Cuts formula is advanced and complete, including ingredients designed to stimulate metabolism and thermogenesis, training focus and diuresis, muscle preservation and thyroid function as well as providing added energy and suppressing appetite. In this way the Animal Cuts formula is everything the dieting iron athlete needs, totally comprehensive--the supplement bottom line when it comes to displaying the hard muscularity you seek. It is up to you to supply the desire, to stay on your diet and eat clean, to bring it in the gym and on the treadmill. You put in the hard work and Animal Cuts will take care of the rest.
Though it seems impossible to top the results reported by the legions of Cuts loyalists over the years; those that have long regarded Animal Cuts as their secret weapon in the fight against bodyfat, that was exactly the intent from the get-go for the brothers behind the scenes at Animal. It was a tough task, but tough is the only way Animal knows. The higher our standards, the better our products, the more legit your results. Cuz at the end of the day, just like us, results are all you care about anyway.
With Animal Cuts you get an all-inclusive product. Think of it as one-stop-shopping, everything-you-need-in-a-single-pack. Talk about convenience. You don´t have to think about anything, just pop a pack and right down the hatch. It ain´t your conventional fat burner. This new Animal Cuts formula maintains the spirit of the old - comprehensive and complete fat shredding power, just taken up to the next level. Unlike most conventional "fat burners" out there, Animal Cuts is more than just a thermogenic. It is a complete and comprehensive fat shredding formula that targets fat loss from multiple angles. Each convenient pack now delivers over 40 active ingredients. Every day, for 21 consecutive days, you´ll get nearly 8,500 milligrams of pure fat shredding power to kick start your cutting goals.
The Animal Cuts formula is made up of eight distinct components which we´ll break down in more detail below: (1) thermogenic complex; (2) metabolic complex; (3) thyroid complex; (4) diuretic complex; (5) nootropiccomplex; (6) cortisol inhibiting complex; (7) CCK inhibiting complex; and (8) our special bioavailability complex. Clearly, Cuts is complete from top to bottom.
As a thermogenic, Animal Cuts is extremely powerful. Thermogenesis is the "burning" of calories from stored bodyfat. This in turn increases body temperature and provide a source of utilizable energy to the body. Animal Cuts includes potent thermogenics. You get pure caffeine anhydrous, methylxanthine-rich herbs - kola nut, guarana, yerba mate, as well as raspberry ketones, coleus forskohlii and evodiamine. The ingredients in the thermogenic complex help boost the body´s natural ability to burn stored body fat via thermogenesis and even better, Animal Cuts is lean mass-sparing. On a side note, Cuts has a special. Like its brothers, Animal Pump and Animal M-Stak, you can now easily remove the thermogenic complex. Just remove the single red capsule. You´d be surprised how often we got this question in the past...
From a metabolic point of view, Animal Cuts, is stacked with only the most potent tea extracts. From green tea extract to oolong tea extract to white tea extract to black tea extract, it´s all covered here. These concentrated tea extracts have all been standardized for their potent polyphenol content, including EGCG as well as various other powerful catechins that work synergistically to raise your body´s core metabolism. An increase in core metabolism means an increase in the rate at which your body converts food that is eaten into energy. In short, a faster metabolism equates to less food being stored as bodyfat. Coffee bean extract is also added for its potent Polyphenol content which includes the metabolic boosters - caffeic and chlorogenic acid. Such factors can be the difference in giving your metabolism the kickstart it needs to begin really processing bodyfat.
When it comes to shedding excess water weight, the kind that gives your body a soft, puffy look, Animal Cuts is extremely efficient. With 800mg of active ingredients including dandelion root (taraxacum) and uva ursi (arbutin, methyarbutin), hydrangea root, celery seed and juniper berry. Animal Cuts works alongside the thermogenics and metabolic boosters to give you a completely shredded, razor-sharp look. The problem synthetic diuretics is that they often deplete the body of key electrolytes, including potassium. When this happens, your muscles lose their pump and size. The diuretic complex in Animal Cuts contains potassium-sparing herbs, thus allowing you to preserve muscular fullness. For whatever reason, if you need or want to remove the diuretic complex, just remove the two blue capsules. How sweet is that?
Athletes who are dieting run the risk of slowing down thyroid function. Reduced calories, increased stress and intense training all lower key thyroid hormones, putting the body in a catabolic state which can actually make fat loss harder. Animal Cuts contains specialized extracts of olive leaf and guggul as well as the amino acid l-tyrosine, which all work to support healthy thyroid gland function and output. When your thyroid gland is working at peak output, metabolic rate and thyroid hormone production is maximized, resulting in optimal fat loss.
Finally, three additional components round out Animal Cuts potent formula. The first of these is a nootropic complex which contains important brain boosting ingredients like DMAE, beta-phenylalanine and bacopa monniera. They are purported to work to maintain proper brain chemistry and also allow for better focus and increased alertness during the workout. Another benefit of nootropics is increased oxygen supply to the brain and the increase of neurotransmitter output and neuromuscular performance.
The second of Animal Cut´s final components are CCK Inhibitors, aka appetite suppressors. Animal Cuts contains herbs like hoodia, joboba seed and cha-de-bugre which are known to help cut down on sugar and carb cravings, something that every dieting bodybuilding experiences to one degree cone contest prep time. It is clearly easier to keep it clean when the munchies are held at bay.
Animal Cuts is then rounded out by a special bioavailability complex. Ingredients like the patented Bioperine®, ginger root, 6,7-Dihydroxybergamottin, as well as a few citrus bioflavonoid extracts work to ensure that you get the all of the potent fat shredding components of Animal Cuts into your system at a proficient rate. Cuz with ingredients like the new Cuts formula, you don´t want to miss a milligram.
Ripped, shredded, peeled... You know the deal. When it comes to really getting lean, when contest shape is in your sights, look to Animal Cuts. The strict dieting, calorie-crunching, ball-busting battles with the weights and beating up the treadmill for miles a day are the necessary evils of attaining the condition you so desire and that, well, that simply can´t be bought in a can. But if you have the balls to step up and are willing to pay your dues, like always, we´ve got your back. Animal meets your hunger half way with the all-new, more powerful, reformulated Animal Cuts, designed to be the difference maker. Cuts is the final element between just being jacked and being Animal - between merely being defined and being ripped, being shredded, being peeled.
universal nutrition - super cuts 3

What is SuperCuts?
There are so many fat burner that come so close to being different that it makes you wonder if they even did any research at all. Super Cuts 3 is one of those fat burners that when compared to leading fat burners like Phenterfein, they really aren’t even in the same league. Super Cuts 3 is just a below average product with ok ingredients. It is not the ultimate fat burner or even the “ultra maximum potency formula” that Universal Nutrition claims it is.
Super Cuts 3 does contain some good ingredients like Green Tea, which has been proven to help people lose weight. It also contains a decent amount of Uva Ursi and Grapefruit powder. The majority of the formulation is composed of L-Carnitine, Lecithin, Choline and Inositol. Lecithin really is useless, l-carnitine helps metabolize food into energy, choline has been shown to only enhance memory capacity in humans and rats, and inositol, which is essentially Vitamin-B, also helps to metabolize fat.
Essentially what you get as far as fat burning goes in Super Cuts 3 is a L-Carnitine/Green Tea supplement. There are better, more potent and effective sources of these supplements available. I wouldn’t recommend Super Cuts 3 as a potential fat burner to anybody.
